So and then #2....

I bet you thought, by the title, I was going to talk about poop. Well I'm not. Well, ok, since you asked.... just for a second. I've pooped 7 days in a row. Yes, indeed. A record. Stickers on the calendar. It all started last Wednesday when I went to see my wonderful doc..... he's a naturopath/chiropractor/accupunturist and he makes the world all right for me. I have no idea how he did it..... he pounded on my back a lot..... maybe it is psychosomatic (sp?) but who cares? I'll be scrubbing the toilet with glee this weekend because I MADE IT DIRTY.

But on to the real reason for this post.

My dear daycarista is ill. She found a lump just before Easter. Have you ever noticed how everyone knows what you are talking about when you say "found a lump" that way?? She says she was worried she was growing a third boob.

So.... the key words & phrases to take away from all this are..... cyst, lump, on mammogram since 2003, first doctor ignored, second doctor didn't, cyst looks clear, tissue around cyst is worrisome, family history, surgery today.

Sweet Boy is at home with daddy. They had big plans... hair cuts & a trip to the dump.

Then we just wait and see what the pathology report finds.....

If these things truly come in three's I'm willing to wait patiently.....

Except I'm not patient. I want to DO, DO, DO something. I might do a series of posts about this stuff. Compassion, power in a powerless situation, the kindness of strangers, really good recipes to make for the freezer.......

Keep us posted. Not about the poop, really--although CONGRATULATIONS! Now let us never speak of it again.

First, yes I totally assumed poop. Must be a Mommy Thing, because most of my conversations revolve around poop and other bodily functions, even for my 4-year-old. Congrats on the pooping!

Second- I'm very sorry to hear about the lump. The first doctor ignoring it angers me...I wonder if there's ever any way to find out what a doctor's class rank was when he graduated med school? Because it seems that some doctors are simply guessing, where others actually seem to know what they're talking about...anyway. I hope the tests come back ok. I hate waiting, too.

We ALL need more compassion in our lives. It's kind of a pay-it-forward thing.
My thoughts are with your daycarista. Working in my job has taught me that the good ones are few and far between.
