Many congratulations. Your daughter is beautiful. And I wanted to thank you for sharing your birth story-- the long one. It makes me feel calm, as I am in my 35th week of my second pregnancy and am nervous about labor #2-- mostly that it is going to happen as fast as yours but far more frenzied. (My first was born in 3 hours and was 9lb9oz), Blessings as you adjust, and I will continue to check in for inspiration! ~michelle
psumommy- You know I stole the idea from someone else.... so feel free to steal it from me!!
lb- thanks... we think we'll keep her...
meeshemama- The hospital staff never believes me when I say things are happening.... my first was a quick one too... woke up at 1:30 (I never really know when to say labor "starts" so I don't know how long my labors actually are...), went to the hospital a little before 5 and delivered at 6:58.... Just make sure whoever is with you tells the nurse to check your file or whatever so they KNOW what they are dealing with and try to keep your sense of humor.... GOOD LUCK!!!
sb- Lordy, I can't believe so many people waded through that long version.... it's the "baby book" version.
cruegirl- So far, so good... although for a little thing she can shit like no other creature I've ever encountered.....
Oh that picture is precious! Congratulations! One of the kid's docs said to nibble babies fingernails off; it doesn't hurt them and you have better sensitivity. I know, it didn't work for me, but that's what she said.

And can I steal your photo idea? I love nekkid baby pictures- I keep meaning to take one of Eric, and one like this would be perfect!
