Corncicles

This is documented proof that Sweet Boy ate frozen corn while we were at the farm. Please note that he is having NOTHING to do with the mandarin orange. The "books" say you must expose a child to a new food 10, 15, sometimes 30 times before they will try it.... yeah, I've been putting a single mandarin orange slice out every meal for about eleventy-million days and every meal he licks it and makes a horrible face before he puts it-ever so carefully- on the side of his plate.

Me, I don't like those madarin oranges, either.

Have you tried clementines? *Those* are YUMMY!

My daughter BEGS for frozen corn if she sees me taking the bag out of the freezer. Same with frozen peas.

I'm with the boy on the oranges. Bleah.

How about some edamame? Charlie loves that stuff. Yuppie.

misfit- I love clementines... but they are kinda hard to find around here sometimes.... he ate a little avocado last night... that's a first.

misfit hausfrau- Have you ever given her frozen grapes? Little tiny bites of heaven.

susan- Sweet Boy looks with great suspicion at anything green.... he even questions green m&m's....

Frozen vegetables are hugely popular round here. I love it - I always feel like I'm cheating and getting away with it. I started with frozen peas, and when those went down big, moved to corn. Nowadays, they're asking for "cold beans, please". The fun never stops!
